A pesquisa científica depende do uso de animais para experimentação. Assim, a evolução da ciência está correlacionada com o aumento no número de animais sacrificados. Estima-se que mais de 115 milhões de animais — incluindo camundongos, ratos, pássaros, peixes, coelhos, porquinhos-da-índia, animais de fazenda, cães, gatos e primatas não humanos — sejam usados e/ou mortos em laboratório todos os anos.
A AHINSA Santuário é uma ONG brasileira dedicada à proteção e acolhimento de animais resgatados de situações de maus-tratos e exploração. Motivados por essa realidade, acreditamos que é justo fazer a nossa parte e apoiar quem cuida de quem não tem voz.
